How cold can it get on Earth? In the interior of the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a record low temperature of -93.2 °C (-135.8 °F) has been recorded. This is about 25 !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (45 !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) colder than the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! noted for any place !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! permanently. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! occurred in 2010 August — winter in Antarctica — and was found by scientists !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! decades of climate data taken by Earth-orbiting satellites. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! were found near peaks because higher air is generally colder, although specifically in depressions near these peaks because relatively dense cold air settled there and was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! by the frozen ground. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is a much better time to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , as some regions will !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! as high as 15 °C (59 °F).

Is it weird that I want to experience this at least once in my lifetime, just to see what it's like?

-93.2...sounds like Ottawa.

I believe you're slightly mistaken. The coldest temperature ever recorded is in my ex's heart.

Wooooo! We're going streaking!

Uuuuhhhhh, good luck with that. Be sure to count ALL of your extremities after getting back inside.
I'll be watching from a warm and secured place.

I think at that point... my penis would turn into an icicle and snap right off.

Considering Ottawa is only -7, whereas Saskatoon is -25(-36 with the ever present windchill), I think you know where to stick it.
:-P

Yeah. Not in Saskatoon, that`s for sure. :-P
I am sure in due time, we will get our yearly week of below -20 temps.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how much a flight or a boat to Antarctica would cost

Nah, I'm good.

The ironic thing is..
the southern hemisphere is facing the sun right now, and the coldest temperature ever is at the south pole...
I knew antarctica was usually colder than the arctic, but if it is that cold in the southern hemisphere summer, how cold could it get in June, during the southern hemisphere winter?

Apparently Antarctic tourism is a thing. But most of it's during the summer, along the coasts. To go to the interior during winter, I'd assume you'd need to be working for the government or be part of an expedition or something.

Regardless, how many people can say they've been to Antarctica?? That would be an adventure to camp out for a day or two

It got down to like 55 last night in San Diego, so yeah, I think I can relate.
